woodï framework
together…we are committed to continuously improving our products in line with circular economy principles, ensuring that all raw materials can be fully recycled.
Our key guide is the set of three principles defined by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation:
Eliminate waste and pollution
Circulate products and materials at their highest value
Regenerate nature
Directly or indirectly, the circular economy makes a positive contribution to the following SDGs
to preserve natural resources and also protect humans and the environment when producing and processing. (Unit = material!)
- Closing the material cycles in economical and ecological ways
- Using resources efficiently (no waste) minimising impact on our environment
- Optimising energy usage and reduce emissions to support long-term regional product life cycles
- “Change by Design” for outstanding design and numerous combination options within a holistic system
- Particularity as a service smart and simple holistic sustainability

woodï / material end = beginning
Change by Design
Do you actually know how WOW you are?
Because you’re here, with me! I am woodï.
I’m unique, just like you.
Here is a description of the process from concept to product design. We begin with an open design concept and shape the space with our woodï.concept product lines. We thoroughly examine and evaluate the needs of each brand.
Then, we draw on modules from the value creation architecture and design the space keeping psychological and marketing perspectives in mind. We enhance it with a story to trigger a WOW effect for exhibitors and visitors alike.
In parallel, we keep track of the budget to coordinate it with the client’s design.
When we get the go-ahead, we move on to product design. We divide up the design concept into existing and newly conceived woodï items and implement them according to our woodï design principles.
The advantage = almost 100% design freedom – sustainable booth construction with a modular system – cost efficiency

- Development of a holistic design concept for the space
- Design implementation using existing or newly developed modular woodï items
- Almost 100% design freedom – sustainable and modular
- Sustainable booth construction as a system
Circularity as a Service
- Comprehensive service (storage, packaging, quality management, circular management)
- Strict material assessment (proprietary material has 25 indicators; 6 additional criteria for evaluating woodï.versum partners)
- Consideration of the entire value-added chain
- Modular product design – developed with and for our customers
- Modular, combinable items in a holistic system (including furniture, technology, accessories all the way to the woodï.concept)
- All elements are repairable, replaceable, and dismountable into single-origin components, in line with EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products RegulationClosing the cycle directly where or by way of our partners (as of the smallest unit)
- Exclusion from product design of poisonous or environmentally dangerous materials that cannot be recycled
- Include longest deployment phase possible (re-use/re-pair) and direct2life in the concept
- Use of renewable energies for the production and redesign processes. (Further development with woodï.versum partners)
- No waste
- Manage cycles by narrowing, slowing, and closing the loop at all stages (planning, assembly, storage, reuse) with high transparency.
- Avoid resource conflicts (for example wood > trees)
- 100% recyclable / 100% recycling
My pledge, your edge
With me, your design becomes sustainable, future-ready and honest
We offer a credible and effective circular economy solution blending economic and ecological responsibility, integrating social aspects, promoting biodiversity, all comprised within a modular design system.
- Holistic sustainability: focuses on five key areas
- Resource efficiency: reduces material use and waste
- Resource conflicts: avoids unnecessary production processes
- Environmental benefits: lowers CO₂ emissions and other environmental impacts
- Regeneration of ecosystems: restores biodiversity
- Degree of innovation: measures market fitness through number and type of innovations
- Recognition: generates trust and appeal in the markets via cooperations
- Social acceptance: conducts polls and studies on public awareness and perception of the circular economy
- Transparency: provides credibility and clarity (woodï.decarb and woodï circular)
- Knowledge sharing: implements training for internal teams, external partners, and future professionals
- Green claims: complies with all regulatory requirements
- “Change by design” concept: implements the system with a high-level design concept

Maximum sustainability for us means a holistic approach, including five key areas:
- Material health (indicator in our material database)
- Circularity leadership management (woodï.circular, woodï.versum)
- Decarbonisation (woodï.decarb)
- Social responsibility(internal and external education through woodï.educe, woodï.versum)
- Biodiversity (seedling concept for reforestation with a process and storytelling)
In addition, woodï offers areas that go beyond traditional booth construction, applying the same criteria:
- Marketing activators
- Catering elements, own furniture
- Value-creating concept development
- Further education and training for future generations
Ï.productdesign
Responsibility drives future.
Design drives change.
- Continuous development together with our customers
- Limitless modularity: All items can be combined
- Extra items such as catering, rental furniture, and technology can be integrated as modules within the woodï cycle
- Promotion of biodiversity and a strong marketing activator through the “tree seedling” item and reforestation (team event)
Infinite modularity
A design system for your individual solution
All items can be flexibly combined and individually adapted to different requirements. The modular elements can be easily repurposed and expanded, making them especially adaptable to changing usage needs.
Thanks to modularity and the combination of new elements with existing components, the system is regularly adapted to the current market situation, ensuring its long-term viability. woodï thus combines functionality, sustainability, and flexibility as part of an innovative concept.

Sustainability made visible
My tools deliver certified, reliable data
woodï.decarb
- CO₂ Management Tool
- Specifically developed to represent and monitor CO₂ drivers along the entire supply chain (from raw material production to end of life).
- Annual monitoring cycle, audited and verified by MyClimate
- Compensation for unavoidable emissions
- Optimisation of CO2 drivers gen 0 T CO₂
- Annual representation of the current state
woodï.circular
- Creation of easily comprehensible, informative, and visually appealing infographics to illustrate the material cycle
- Assessment of the overall product life cycle (circular shape) to make a holistic and resource-light selection of materials
- Transportation paths > criterion for resource efficiency
- Value-creation phases > focus on PLC (Product life cycle)
- Application of circular thinking > “narrow” (reduce resources), “slow” (prolong use), “close” (preserve material)
